Santa Cruz After Dark collects only the information needed to respond to reservation requests, recruit guides and operate the tour. We do not sell personal information.
What we collect
Reservation requests may include your name, email address, party size, preferred departure and any note you choose to provide. Guide applications may include your name, contact information, location, availability, transportation plan, experience, audition-video link, written answers, work-eligibility confirmations and any audition accommodation you choose to request. Basic technical logs may include device, browser and request information used to keep the site reliable and secure.
Location and tour progress
The self-guided tour requests your device location only after you tap “Find nearest stop.” That one-time position is compared with tour stops in your browser and is not sent to Santa Cruz After Dark or stored by the site. Chapter progress, playback position and safety acknowledgement are stored locally on your device so the tour can resume. Choosing “Save offline” stores the tour interface and audio in your browser’s site storage. You can remove both by clearing this site’s browser data.
How we use it
We use this information to contact you about tour dates, answer questions, plan capacity, review guide candidates, prevent abuse and improve the experience. We do not use reservation notes for advertising profiles.
Service providers
The site is hosted by Vercel. Guide applications are stored in the operator’s Supabase database. Reservation submissions may be delivered to an operator-controlled customer system or automation provider. When paid booking opens, the selected booking and payment provider will publish its own privacy terms. Card information will not be stored by this website.
Retention and requests
We retain reservation and candidate information only as long as needed for the purposes above, normally no longer than 24 months unless law or an active customer relationship requires otherwise. To access or delete your information, reply to any message you receive from Santa Cruz After Dark.
